On September 27, 2023, Virginia Delegate Alfonso Lopez presented Wakefield Crew with House Joint Resolution 725, commending the team for our repeat state championships, efforts to promote diversity, and growth as a team. Read the full resolution. 

On October 14th, Wakefield rower Luke Thurston represented all three Arlington crew teams to advocate for the Arlington Boathouse before the County Board. Watch Luke's comments and the board's response here.
